General information

Kester Wax K30G is a unique very low melting, hard and brittle, powdery wax. It is manufactured by esterification of a special long chain guerbet alcohol with vegetable fatty acids. This synthetic specialty wax remarkably combines hardness and a high molecular weight with a melting point just below body temperature. Its molecules have a remarkable star-like shape consisting of three outward directed alkyl chains of similar length with the ester bond located in the center of the molecule.

Advantages

Kester Wax K30G improves the sensory properties of formulations giving a silicon-like feel. Due to its low melting point this emollient wax melts on the skin. It also contributes to lubricity and improves the spread and slip properties of a formulation, while reducing greasiness, stickiness and occlusivity.
